You are welcome to cancel your tour up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour time, and you will receive a full refund of your booking. Unfortunately, if you fail to provide cancellation notice 24 hours prior to your tour booking, you will be unable to obtain a full refund and 50% of the booking fee will be kept as a deposit to cover catering and staff. *We are a small business and appreciate your understanding with this.

The weather in Tasmania can change often and quickly. This experience is held OUTSIDE, and we recommend that you prepare for the outdoors and the ever-changing weather in Tasmania. We have umbrellas on site, but you need to take responsibility for dressing appropriately for the weather and for keeping yourself warm. We will be in an open shed for your lunch experience (this is out of the wind, and we have gas heaters so you can warm up). You will receive a confirmation text the day before your tour and, your host will notify you of any weather concerns.

Flat, closed-in shoes that are comfortable to walk in. You will be asked to put disposable shoe coverings over your shoes whilst in the Trufferie for quarantine reasons and, these fit best over closed-in shoes.

We do allow and enjoy having your younger ones join us on tour. Our children’s prices are as follows.
Aged 5-17 years:
Hunt only: $80.00
Hunt and lunch: $110.00
Children under 5 years: Free of charge.
-
Children under 5 years are free of charge and will not have food catered for them but are welcome to share with mum and dad. We request that if you have children under 5 attending the tour, you add this to your bookings page as we need to know the number of bodies for social distancing requirements with covid.
It is expected that you can manage your child and their behaviour for the duration of the tour. When we are out truffle hunting, we hope you can appreciate that we have customers who wish to unearth a truffle and they will take priority. Your children are welcome to share in a dig with you. If time allows and the hunt is going well, we will do our best to accommodate your child and give them a go.
We are very happy to accommodate prams and, the terrain is firm and easily navigated. If you are bringing a pram, please notify us in your booking process so we can sit you at a table with space for the pram. We do not allow prams out into the plantation when we are hunting so, if you would like to bring an alternative carrier, that is suggested.

We are happy to look after guests of all ages and abilities. If you yourself are concerned about your mobility/ability or that of a loved one, please contact me directly on; 0437849283 and I am happy to discuss your options. Our plantation is flat and easy to walk through. We are able to prioritise guests with any mobility issues and ensure they are given the first opportunity to unearth a truffle or watch a truffle be unearthed and can then be guided back to the comfort of the tour shed to sit and enjoy the scenery if being on foot for too long is a concern.

Our dogs are trained to do a specialised job, they are not dangerous, and they are very familiar with being around guests. They do get excited to welcome guests and will then rest peacefully around the tour shed both before and after the hunting component is complete.
Our dogs are a vital and essential part of our operation and our tours. They will be free roaming for the duration of all our tours, and therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure both yourself and your children are comfortable and happy with this setting as we have guests who are in attendance for the dog experience, and it is unfair to take this away from them. If your child is not managing with the dogs on site it is your responsibility to manage this, as our dogs cannot be removed from the situation.
-
Our tours only operate in our truffle season, December – September and during this time, we have truffles that are ready to be harvested. Truffles are a natural product, and we cannot guarantee how many we will find on your truffle tour. We endeavour to do our best to ensure that a member from each booking party has the opportunity to dig up a truffle, but this is something we cannot guarantee. Please be mindful of this with your booking and with your expectations on the day of your truffle hunting.
-
After your truffle tour, you can purchase our products and fresh truffle.
Our farmgate shop is open to the public daily from 10-4 pm and is available exclusively to tour guests on other days that fall outside this period.
